How Tripz works
A member of the Tripz.uk motorhome hire team will be your dedicated point of contact. All our team takes pride in ensuring your motorhome is clean, checked, and full of fuel ready for your arrival at Walker Estate on handover day.
Our spacious site enables us to safely handover the vehicle and walk you through your motorhome, answering any question you may have about the vehicle prior to your departure.
Your dedicated Tripz.uk team member will go through all the necessary paperwork and vehicle checks with you, ensuring all is in order and agreed, then the motorhome is yours. You’re ready to go, we’ll wave you off on your wonderful travels.
If you like you can leave your car on site for the duration of your hire, at your own risk, Walker Estate is gated with CCTV, so we’ll leave that decision up to you.
Our Motorhomes are family owned and run, part of Walker Group an established business for over 30 years with customer care at the forefront of the business.

Production of a full, valid standard photo driver's licence, as well as an online licence check code and two proofs of address, from separate sources, are required from all drivers at the start of hire.
Proof of address must be dated within 90 days of the hire date. The name and address on your licence must match both documents.
Occupancy is as the stated number of passengers.
Drivers are 25 to 75 years of age.

Our motorhome is a smoke free zone.
Pet owners you’re responsible to ensure your pet is well behaved, as outlined in our pet policy.
Our motorhome must be returned in a clean and tidy condition. If not, unfortunately, cleaning charges will be payable.
You must inform us of any late collections & returns as soon as possible for insurance purposes.
You are responsible for the vehicle: ensuring it’s safety and security.
You will drive lawfully with due care and attention at all times.

A booking is only binding after it has been confirmed by Tripz.uk and a booking deposit payment of 25% of the total hire cost has been received. Our terms and conditions including our cancellation policy apply from this point onwards. Once the booking is made, a confirmation email will be sent out to the customer. Settlement of the remaining balance will be due six weeks prior to departure.
Tripz.uk reserves the right to cancel the booking if payment is not received six weeks prior to departure. Payment is accepted by all major credit and debit cards.
For late bookings (less than six weeks before departure) the full rental price is payable on booking. Vehicles will not be released without full payment being completed. Tripz.uk reserves the right to increase the booking deposit for certain events or promotions.
The vehicle is insured for theft and damage to the vehicle and the property of a third party; but does not include any personal insurance for the customer (including death or bodily injury to the driver) or cover any personal possessions.
The hire rate quoted includes a standard excess of £1500.00 per accident, reported incident or vehicle theft.
In the event of any damage to either the vehicle or third party property, the hirer will be liable for the first £1500.00 per claim. In the event of the theft of the vehicle, the hirer will be liable for the full cost of the vehicle; once a theft has been reported to both Tripz.uk and the police, a claim will be lodged with the insurer. The keys must be returned to Tripz.uk. Should the insurer accept the claim and agrees to reimburse Tripz.uk for the cost of the vehicle, the liability to the hirer will reduce to the first £1500.00 of the claim (excess). Please note: if the keys are not returned to Tripz.uk, the insurer will not accept the claim and liability for the full cost of the vehicle will remain with the hirer.
Only persons named on the rental agreement are insured to drive the Vehicle. Please note that no insurance cover (including CDW) is offered for overhead damage, any damaged deemed as gross negligence, or any internal damages, therefore the hirer accepts fully liability for these which is in addition to the standard vehicle excess should that apply.
Windscreens and /or tyre damage is not covered by the standard vehicle insurance and therefore excess, however collision damage waiver (CDW) does cover these items, (conditions apply), please see section 25 of our terms and conditions, collision damage waiver (CDW) for further details.
Tripz.uk will only be responsible should damage to personal possessions or bodily injury occur (including death) as a result of proven gross negligence on Tripz.uk’s part i.e. our actions or failure to act. Tripz.uk will not be responsible for any loss which is a side effect of the main loss e.g., loss of profits or opportunity. This is separate from the vehicle insurance provided.

More than 6 weeks before hire date: 25% of total hire cost or booking deposit (whichever is greater)
6 weeks - 2 weeks before hire date: 50% of total hire charge
2 weeks - No Show: 100% of total hire charge
A ‘no show’ is deemed as the customer not presenting themselves on the first day of the rental period to collect their motorhome and not communicating to Tripz.uk prior to this date that they will be collecting the vehicle on an alternative date/time within the booked rental period.
Should the hire be deemed a no show, the booking will be automatically cancelled at close of business that day and the vehicle will be released for re-hire to another party. No refunds whatsoever will be due.
Tripz.uk cannot postpone or transfer money from one hire to another. Tripz.uk reserves the right to amend our cancellation policy for certain events.
Covid cancellation policy
Covid-19 cancellation policy valid for all bookings made from 1st July 2021. A no quibble refund on your booking or postponement less a £25.00 admin fee.
This Covid policy applies under the following UK government guidance:
• UK government guidance causes closure of the Tripz.uk depot on the date when your collection is due to
• UK government guidance advises a full UK-wide lockdown resulting in a full ban on all non-essential
travel over the dates you are due to hire
We had a great time touring Scotland in this motor-home which felt pretty much brand new. Clean and well fitted out, it made a really comfortable home for us and our pooch. Alan was great helping us on collection and showing us the ropes and also on the handover. Everything was explained in detail and we felt in really good hands. The fixed double bed is very comfortable and the shower works a treat. Even in sub zero temperatures, we were warm and cosy with the efficient heating system. Everything has been thought of with outside chairs and table included too and lovely fleeces to protect the seating. I loved the Aberdeen cow cushion too! We look forward to the next time.
