Tripz.uk motorhome hire process

How It Works

Tripz.uk is a family-owned and run, Yorkshire business. We are part of Walker Group, our HQ is based at Walker Estate in Denby Dale, Huddersfield, where you will collect and drop off the Motorhome you hire from us.

Booking

Hiring a motorhome from us is easy, from our home page, 4 berth or 6 berth motorhome pages you can book*:

  • Select Your Dates
  • Number of Guests
  • Optional Extra’s

Secure your adventure with a 25% deposit, our terms and conditions including cancellation policy apply from this point onwards and your confirmation booking email will be sent to you.

*If you are a first-time customer, you will be required to set-up a customer account with us so we can process your booking and manage your motorhome hire with us.

Payment

Over six weeks until motorhome pick-up day:

  • A 25% deposit is required when you make your booking.
  • Balance is due six weeks prior to the pick-up date.
  • Or you can make a full payment today.

Less than six weeks before your pick-up date:

  • full rental price is payable on booking.

All major credit cards and debit cards are accepted. Tripz.uk cannot accept Discover, JCB, Union Pay and do not accept cash or cheques.

Security Deposit / Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

On taking delivery of the Vehicle, you agree to pay the Security Deposit. A refundable £1500.00 Security Deposit payable by credit card or debit card. The card should be in the lead drivers name and the amount will be debited from your account immediately.

Or, if you choose Collision Damage Waiver at £25.00 per night it will reduce the £1500.00 excess for damage caused due to a Road Traffic Accident (RTA) or collision (i.e., reported accident) to either the Vehicle or third-party property to £250.

Your Security Deposit will be refunded within 7 working days once the Vehicle has been returned to our depot, in the same condition as when your hire started and if there are no outstanding insurance claims.

Documentation

Production of a full, valid standard photo driver’s licence, as well as an online licence check code: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence and two proofs of address, from separate sources, are required from all drivers at the start of hire.

Proof of address must be dated within 90 days of the hire date. The name and address on your licence must match both documents.

Cancellation

More than 6 weeks before hire date:

  • 25% of total hire cost or booking deposit (whichever is greater).

6 weeks – 2 weeks before hire date:

  • 50% of the total hire charge.

2 weeks – No Show:

  • 100% of the total hire charge.

Pet Policy

We know how important it is to you that we allow furry friends into our Motorhomes, that’s why we do!

We want you to enjoy adventures together, providing of course you and your pet abide by our house rules outlined here and, in our terms and conditions, to which you must agree.

  • You agree your Pet will not be left in the Motorhome unattended.
  • You will not allow your pet on any of the soft furnishings or upholstery (including the beds, seats / sofas)
  • You will return our Motorhome in a clean and tidy condition as if your pet was never present.
  • You agree if you return our Motorhome unclean/untidy, if it is evident your pet was present, and if any pet hairs are found, cleaning charges and upholstery cleaning charges will apply. The minimum charge for this is £100.00
  • You agree to cover the cost of all damage caused by a pet, even if it exceeds the Security Deposit (as outlined in section 13 of our terms and conditions)
