How big are the beds is a question we regularly get asked.
I’m tall/my partner is tall, not sure if the beds will be big enough, is another common statement we hear.
Our motorhomes have at least one bed that is over 7 foot so they can accommodate the taller person.
Our 6 berth motorhome has 3 double beds, one over the cab that raises to create a little more space while moving around the motorhome, this almost spans the width of the motorhome but due to the raising and lowering mechanisms it is the shortest bed of the Swift Edge 486.
There are two other beds that can be made up which also span the width of the Swift Edge 486 motorhome.
So how big are the beds in the 486, the bed dimensions for the 6 berth motorhome are:-
Over cab bed – 190 x 134 cm / 6’3″ x 4’5″
Front Double – 215 x 180/121 cm / 7’1″ x 5’11″/4’0″
Rear Double – 214 x 131 cm / 7’0″ x 4’5″
Our 4 berth has a fixed double bed and a double bed that can be made up in the dining/lounge area.
How big are the beds in the 464, the bed dimensions for the 4 berth motorhome are:-
Fixed Bed – 188 x 133 cm / 6’2″ x 4’4″
Make up bed – 215 x 123/92cm / 7’1″ x 4’0″/3’0″
